To day (On January 16, 2017) is Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in America, a day to celebrate the birthday of one of the world’s most renowned civil rights activist, Martin Luther King, Jr., born on the 15th of January 1929. A Baptist minister, fervent activist, humanitarian, and leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement, Dr. King is best known for his role in the advancement of civil rights using nonviolent civil disobedience. As we celebrate what would have been Dr. King’s 88th birthday, we look at some important moments in Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s life captured on camera.
